Corin Hewitt

Corin Hewitt (1971, Burlington, VT) lives and works in Richmond, Virginia and East Corinth, Vermont. He received his BA from Oberlin College and his MFA from Bard College in 2007.  Solo exhibitions of his work include MOCA Cleveland, the Whitney Museum of American Art, the Atlanta Contemporary Arts Center,  the Seattle Museum of Art, and Western Bridge, Seattle. In 2011, he was awarded the Guggenheim Memorial Foundation Fellowship and 2010 he received the Joan Mitchell Grant for Painters and Sculptors.  He teaches in the department of Sculpture and Extended Media at Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, Virginia. This spring, Mousse Publications will release a 300-page monograph featuring six years of work in conjunction with his exhibition at MOCA Cleveland.
