Dan Paz

Dan received an MFA from The University of Chicago in Visual Arts and BFA from The Atlanta College of Art in video, minoring in photography. National and international exhibitions and screenings include: Im with you at Hayward Gallery London, UK; 4th Annual Camaguey Video Festival in Camaguey Cuba; Pillowtalk at Peregrine Program curated by Natalie Schuh and Stevie Greco in Chicago, IL; Eyeball Witness at Roots and Culture Contemporary curated by Scott Wolniak in Chicago, IL; Band of Outsiders curated by Catherine Sullivan at CAA Media Lab in NY, NY. In 2010, Dan was the recipient of the Ann Metzger Award for Prints. In 2012, in collaboration with Marilyn Volkman and their work on Arte no es fácil, Dan was the recipient of the Links Hall Link Up residency and grant. Later that year, Dan received The John D. and Catherine T. MacArthur Foundations Connection grant for Arte no es fácil In 2012, Dan was the recipient of the Critical Fierceness Grant, in collaboration with DoubleDJ- a queer performance group. Dan attended the Harold Artist Residency in the summer of 2012 in-conjunction with Shifter Magazine #19.
