Valerio Rocco Orlando

Valerio Rocco Orlando (Italy, 1978) lives in Milan and New York.

Working across a range of media including film, sound and photography, Valerio Rocco Orlando’s community based projects focus on the relation between individual and collective identity in order to explore the complexity of human relationships in contemporary society.

His works have been exhibited at the XI Bienal de La Habana in Cuba, Momenta Art, Smack Mellon and X Initiative in New York, Viafarini, Careof and La Triennale in Milan, Fondazione Bevilacqua la Masa in Venice, Teatro Regio in Parma, Palazzo Strozzi in Florence, Nomas Foundation and Macro in Rome.

Valerio Rocco Orlando won the Iscp New York Prize 2009 promoted by Parc/Seat/Gai and a Civitella Ranieri Foundation Fellowship in Visual Arts in 2011.
